Back in Cairo and in the same hotel room as before. We must admit we weren’t entirely crazy about checking back into the room where we spent so many unpleasant hours. Nonetheless, we shrugged it off for our last remaining days of the trip.

We arrived in Nueiba on the Red Sea directly across from mountainous Saudi Arabia and spent two wonderful days relaxing and snorkling. The snorkling was amazing! Shannon and I ventured out while the tide was still coming in, so the water wasn’t as deep as I would have liked. Sea Urchins waited patiently for our […]

Aparently, we ate or drank something with bacteria in it. We suffered with unimaginable diarrehia, fever, and vomitting for 24 hours until we went to […]

Yesterday, Mohammod arranged a private car for us to visit the Step Pyramids (Saqqara) and the Dahshur Pyramid. It only cost 150 Egyptian Pounds, which is roughly $30 US dollars! What a bargain! We were gone for nearly 5 hours. The drive alone through all the small villages was absolutely amazing! We saw heaps of […]

Waking this morning in Athens, we found ourselves jittery with excitement and nervousness about flying to
Egypt today! The
Cairo airport was busy and we were swept into the mix. We met a man from the ministry of tourism who quickly escorted us over to a cab. We […]
